LinkedIn summaries (âaboutâ section) are usually very boring. And yet theyâre one of the most important sections on your LinkedIn profile. They say more about who you are and what people can expect from connecting with you.
But when your summary is just another repetition of what you have done over the last 15 years, it doesnât bring any extra value compared to your âExperiencesâ section. Instead, what you should do is right a catchy, personal description that makes profile visitors want to connect with you specifically, knowing what they will get out of it.
To write a good LinkedIn summary, we recommend you dive into what is unique about you. Instead of listing your experiences, tell your story. And donât forget to think about the person visiting your profile when you write. Always consider what they want to know, and what actions you want them to take after reading it.
